Supporting our clients at every stage
Jessica Fung, Head of Consulting at Project Blue, explains:
“There are three main ways in which we support our clients from a consulting perspective. First, given the breadth of our research coverage, we can provide clients with a multi-commodity view - whether for exploration purposes or to understand the dynamics between different commodity markets.
Second, we assist by addressing very specific questions that clients need answered to support their business. These may relate to market entry, commercial considerations, or competitor benchmarking. There are numerous ways in which we can tailor our approach to meet a client’s unique business requirements.”
Evolving client needs
Jessica continues:
“The trends we are seeing now relate to understanding the realities of the business environment in which many companies operate. Previously, there was a desire for a high-level understanding of critical material markets - essentially an educational process: What does supply look like? What does demand look like? How do price dynamics work?
Today, clients want to go much deeper. They seek insights not only into supply, demand, and pricing, but also into the risks to supply, the potential for demand substitution, and the role of recycling. On the pricing side, they want to understand how geopolitics influences discounts, premiums, and regional arbitrage. This reflects a far more detailed approach to due diligence and risk assessment than in the past.”
